The 12 days of christmas are virtually done and most people return to work in the morning.
But Help 4 Homeless Veterans charity has been working throughout the break.
We have as already reported, doled out a couple of vans full of food to veterans; issued some warm clothing;
paid out some of the first winter fuel £100 payments to OAP veterans who’ve lost out on the government’s WFPs;
We have paid the rent for a veteran and agreed to pay rent for another one.
We also viewed a potential halfway house for veterans the charity can manage, unfortunately it wasn’t ideal so the search continues.
We have written to 6 local MPs and set up meetings with 1 already and also a council housing director seeking their support for our work.2025 has barely started but we are already warmed up and off the mark.
