As the charity CEO of Help 4 Homeless Veterans along with Trustee and Rotherham Armed Forces Champion Cllr Eve Rose Keenan and Charity assistant Amber Guymer-hosking, we met with my local MP John Healey this morning.
We went to secure his support along with the RMBC Housing Director and Housing Cabinet member Cllr Sarah Allen, to strengthen our grant Application to the AFCFT to purchase a halfway House for homeless veterans here in South Yorkshire.
Our charity has supported over a 1000 veterans since 2010. In January alone we have spent £2000 on hotel rooms for vulnerable veterans here in Yorkshire.Once we secure funding for our own property those savings can help veterans with initial rents and essential household goods.
