Thank You to Jake Richards MP and his staff for the invitation to their Veterans Voice event this morning in Dinnington.Guest speakers were John Healey MP my local MP and Defence Secretary accompanied by Al Carns MP The Veterans & People Minister.
They circulated each table chatting to group reps including our charity Founder Tom Wood MBE and Amber Guymer-hosking and trustees Eve Rose Keenan John Healy and Liz Butcher so got a lot of background to our work.
They briefed the group on forthcoming improvements to support Veterans.This was followed by questions from the audience on a wide range of related matters. I asked when more social housing will be built to alleviate some of the homeless issues we deal with.
All in all a useful 2 hours.
